Automated email marketing allows you to send highly targeted email sequences based on user behavior and interest. 

For example, you can create “paths” or “sequences” that allow you to present specific offers or content depending on if a contact has taken a particular action, or if they haven’t. (See graphic) Present that desired action repeatedly until they do, them move them to the next stage of your campaign. 

That is true email marketing automation! 

What Is Email Marketing?

If you’re not a marketer, you may ask the question, “What is email marketing?”, or more specifically, “What is email marketing automation?”.  There are some misconceptions on what it is, as some email platforms say they provide email automation when in actually, what they offer is an auto responder. While that one feature is “automated” that’s not what we’re talking about when we talk about email marketing automation. Email marketing automation allows a user to create highly targeted and specific email campaigns based on some sort of user input or behavior.

For example, you have a form on your website that allows users to choose different options, maybe what kind of content they want to get information on. Option A is to get information on Dog Products. Option B is to get informtion on Cat Products, and option C is to get information on Fish Products. Through the Keap Email Automation Platform, you can assign a unique “tag” to each choice.
